What happened to my scroll bar on Chrome?

I was looking at a image that is quite wide and should have horizontal scrollbars at the bottom of the browser.

At least I’m seeing horizontal scrollbar on Firefox. But why am I not seeing horizontal scrollbar on Chrome? It should be at the bottom left of the browser.  Let me move my cursor over there.

Ah, I see.  The horizontal scrollbar was covered up by Chrome’s status tip.  But as I moved the mouse cursor there, the status tip moves out of the way revealing the horizontal scrollbar.
