More SmartPhones Sold than PCs

Research IDC firm found that in last quarter of 2010, there were more smartphones sold than PCs — 100.9 million smartphones shipped versus 92.1 million PCs.  For 2010, over 297 million smartphones were sold making it the highest selling consumer device. By 2015, it is predicted that more people will get on the Internet via smartphone than by PC’s.

That is not to say that people do not need PCs.   Many have both.  It’s just that people change change phones more often than the PCs.
